Rally is an obedience game. It is less precise and more varied than the sport of obedience. It consists of a course of stations. Each station has a sign describing an exercise, like back up three steps or walk around your dog. It is about teamwork. Unlike the sport of obedience you may encourage your dog, repeat commands, or use similiar means to keep your dog engaged. It isn't as physically demanding as many other dog sports but it has plenty of mental exercise for fun and challenge.

This page explains something about the differences between APDT Rally, AKC Rally and UKC Rally.
A good over view and description of this growing new sport.
The linked books take you to Dogwise.com. There are a lot of places you can buy good breeding books and videos. So why do I link to Dogwise? Because purchasing through links to the Dogwise website helps support Dog Play. And I picked them because they are good folks. If you order by phone I probably won't get the credit, but what the heck - they are dog people too, so nice to talk with.
